Technical Component Upgrades

The Ryco design philosophy is to meet the vehicle manufacturers’ performance requirements. This philosophy ensures our filters excel in the three critical areas of Efficiency, Life and Flow. Technical upgrades have been made to a number of products recently to ensure Ryco Filters continue to provide genuine performance high quality filters.

Z200 - 20% more media

Today’s modern and highly sophisticated vehicle fuel systems demand increased engine and component protection. Ryco Z200 is now manufactured with 20%increased media and increased the grad of the media used. Utilisising a media of nominal 6-7 micron will see the vehicles engine run smoother and more efficient between service intervals.

Z578 - Now includes Mounting Clamp

  • Mounting clamp is provided with OE filter
  • Its mechanical zip design means it is susceptible to wear
  • Makes installation time quicker and fitment will be cleaner and easier

Z154 & Z436 - Anti Drain Back Valve (ADV) Enhancements

The function of the ADV valve prevents the drain back of oil from the filter, preventing a ‘dry’ start up.

Typically there are two grades of rubber used for ADV’s Natual black Rubber (NBR) and Silicone.

Z154 and Z436 ADV’s are now have silicone Anti Drain Back Valves.

The advantages of Silicone over Nitrile Butadiene Rubber

  • Silicone has greater resistance
  • Silicone retains its shape over extended service periods
  • Silicone is used for OE customers requiring high service intervals
  • Silicone is superior for varying climatic conditions
  • For mild climates NBR is suitable
  • While NBR is susceptible to hardening over time, reducing ADV performance
