Ryco builds Cabin Filter range as market passes 2 million

4th December 2009

Australia's leading filter specialist, Ryco, has announced its cabin filter range has been expanded to cater for the recent growth in the market. The news comes with the statistics showing late model cars which are fitted with a replaceable cabin filter on Australian roads now exceed 2 million.

"As the market leader in this country we have a responsibility to take the initiative and ensure new applications are fully covered," says Marketing Manager Ross Lamb. "That way our customers know they can always look to us to meet emerging needs.

"And right now Ryco has the biggest range for cabin filter   applications as well as the distribution to deliver everywhere.

"Let's be very clear what we're talking about here; the cabin filter market is rapidly growing and has the potential to be as big as air filters. Late model car owners expect this filter to be changed. That means a great business opportunity for all trade fitters and resellers to grow their businesses as well as meet customer and vehicle demands.

"While most late model European, Japanese and Asian cars as well as many 4WDs have been fitted with cabin filters for some years now Australian cars are certainly included. This started with the BA Falcon and Territory and of course the VE Commodore."

The benefits of replacing a car's cabin filter include:  Protects occupants from allergy causing pollens and bacteria.Filters out the road dirt and dust for a cleaner interior.Cleaner breathing is offered from less respiratory particles. Absorption of gases and odours boosts passenger comfort.

"Our trade fitting customers should look at it this way: every time a BA/BF Falcon comes into the workshop there is a potential $15-20 extra profit from a maximum of an extra 10 minutes. And the customer will be impressed at the attention to detail - especially when the arriving customer is shown a dirty cabin filter - which came out of another vehicle - as the reason for driving a healthier car.

"This is a win-win for everyone." Mr. Lamb said.
